About this eventOriginally conceived as Steer Auction Steak Night, prompted by the donation of a steer purchased at Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, BOOTS & HEROES 6th Annual Charity Gala has grown into a highly-sought after ticket to celebrate the military community with a delicious steak dinner, raffle, silent auction, and live music for dancing. Get ready to kick up your heels and celebrate our brave heroes in style. Join us for a night of fun, music, and camaraderie, and all for a great cause! This year's Boots & Heroes proceeds will benefit Camp SHiEld, VFW Post 8790, and its Auxiliary. Let's honor our heroes and make unforgettable memories together. See you there! About the BeneficiariesAs part of our unwavering commitment to veterans and their communities, the net proceeds generated from the event will contribute directly to supporting the initiatives of VFW Post 8790, its Auxiliary, and Camp SHiEld. We are pleased provide a unique opportunity to the public to dedicate a flag in honor or in memory of our brave soldiers. The awe-inspiring display of hundreds of 7 1/2 foot tall Americn Flags flying in solemn formation at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX will create an unforgettable panorama in perfect rows for public viewing 24 hours a day. |

Please join the Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans as we participate in National Wreaths Across America Day at the Houston National Cemetery. We need your help. This year we have been asked to place over 3,000 wreaths on the tombs of our fallen Heros. Our sections will be P. The placements will begin at 11:45. Please arrive early if you want to park close to our sections. Parking is at a minimum; you can also go to Greenspoint Mall and take a bus to the cemetery. Please invite your friends and family.
