Club News
Our dedication ceremony for the Vietnam Veterans Day Field of Honor was inspiring and encouraging. The welcome home that Vietnam-era service members didn’t receive in the 70’s is now being made. The ceremony was complete with speakers from the City of Houston, SERVE, a General, VA dignitaries, the colors were presented, the National Anthem, God Bless America and best of all; veterans were honored by all present.
Our bi-monthly meeting for March 28 was an inspiring retelling from Charles Kurt of his encounter with the Nazi invasion of Austria, his journey to the US and enlisted and service in the US Army. He’s incredibly proud of his earned US citizenship and has amazing stories from his home country, of his time in the service and his amazing life. Thank you Charles and family for helping to make this meeting very special.

OPERATION TURKEY

Operation Turkey aligns with Rotary International's areas of focus by addressing some of the most pressing social and economic challenges facing communities today. Being one of the largest events in our district and feeding over 9000 families, we are helping to create positive, lasting change in the world, one meal at a time.

FIELD OF HONOR

Rotary is committed to community service, and the Field of Honor is a powerful example of service to the Houston community. By creating a display of American flags that honors the sacrifice and service of our military, we help to inspire a sense of unity and patriotism in our community.

FLAGS FOR FALLEN VETS

Flags for Fallen Vets is a powerful example of how community service can help to promote peace and understanding, while also honoring and remembering those who have served our country.
