March is a busy month for our club. My hope is that many of our members will be attending these events. March is a busy month for our club. My hope is that many of our members will be attending these events. March 13, Rotary International President Elect will join our the Houston VA Hospital to dedicate Hope Garden. March 14, Vietnam Veteran Ken Wallington, captured and spent more than 10 months in captivity, will share his story. March 15, All Club Meeting with other clubs in our district. March 24, Bubba Bingo, a fund raising event sponsored by the Deer Park Rotary Club. March 25, Vietnam Veteran Field of Honor flags will be placed at the VA Hospital. March 28, Charles Kurt, US Army is the guest speaker. March 29, Vietnam Veterans Day, a ceremony will be held to honor Vietnam Veterans. I am looking forward to seeing the members of our club at these great events.

Mike Knox, Council Member at Large, City of Houston, is the special guest and speaker at the Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans meeting on Tuesday, October 25 at 11:30 am. The meeting is held at Big Horn BBQ, 2300 Smith Ranch Rd, Pearland.
Rimato Raises Funds to Fight Polio
Ryan Rimato, pictured with mom, DGE Heather Rimato and Bob Gebhard, was guest speaker at the Oct 11 Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans meeting. Rylan talked about his efforts to raise funds to help eradicate polio.
A Field of Honor will be hosted by The Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans to honor veterans during the month of November. The Inaugural event, begins on November 5 and run through November 13. Each flag flown honors a named veteran.
